T3LC Grant - awarded to Roaring River's
Elementary Battle of the Books (EBOB) Team
The EBOB team, with the assistance of Mrs. Gentry, wrote a grant to purchase new library books. The team also invited the grandparents to come during the first week of March to read to classrooms for Dr. Seuss week. The video below shows their project.
The Big Read
United Teens in Action (UTA),four juniors from each of the four high schools, selected Roaring River Elementary for their "Big Read" project. The teens chose Dr. Seuss books to give to each student at Roaring River. On February 11th the high school students came to read to the elementary students and presented them with their personal copy of a Dr. Seuss book. As you can see in the video below the smiles say it all. Thank you United Teens in Action!
